About MintStars

MintStars is the world’s first NFT subscription platform for models, creators, and brands. Our mission is to help creators earn more and combat piracy with a more ethical alternative to OnlyFans and Patreon. We aim to make the benefits of NFT technology accessible to everyone.

After raising our pre-seed round at a £4 million valuation, including an investment from Polygon and support from Harvard i-labs, we are ramping towards an MVP launch in the fall in conjunction with the close of our Seed round. You’ll help us transition seamlessly from MVP to building out an internal development team.

Our team is 75% women, based in London & Boston. We currently work remotely, with the potential for hybrid working in London in the future.

About you

You're an experienced technical lead and full-stack software engineer with strong knowledge of blockchain, ethically driven, and passionate about the rights of women and marginalised creators. You’re excited by the challenges and opportunities of working at an early-stage startup, enjoy the thrill of overcoming obstacles, and can nimbly pivot your focus as needed.

We especially encourage women, people of color, LGBTQ+ people, and people with experience in content creation, modeling, and/or sex work to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Setting the technical vision and strategy for the MintStars platform
  • Ensuring that we make high quality build decisions that are sensitive to scalability and speed
  • Defining KPIs and incorporating insights into day to day decision making
  • Ensuring smooth transition from outsourced MVP build to ongoing in-house development
  • Leading the build as we progress beyond MVP. As we are a small team, this will initially be a hands-on coding role.
  • Leading on the growth and structuring of  our in-house development team
  • Helping us plan for tokenizing the platform in the future
  • Assisting in fundraising and technical due diligence conversations with Venture Capitals. Be able to advocate for our technology and value proposition
  • Keeping up with current blockchain technologies that could provide value to our users

Skills & experience

  • 5+ years as a software engineer. Ideally you’ve been a full-stack software engineer or senior developer
  • 2+ years in a management or team lead position.
  • Ability to code in the beginning of your tenure, team-build, then manage after the team has grown. You can coach and manage diverse teams and help people level up their craft and their careers
  • Experience with JAMStack: Javascript, NodeJS, ReactJS, NextJS and Solidity. Rust a bonus.
  • Experience in DevOps on GCP or AWS
  • Knowledge of smart contract deployment processes, as well as familiarity with smart contract developer tooling such as Truffle, Hardhat, Ganache etc.
  • Extensive Web3 experience and demonstrated ability to partner/integrate with existing solutions and protocols to ship things faster. Experience working on Polygon a bonus.
  • You have brought products to market and scaled them for growth, either as part of a startup or on behalf of a global enterprise
  • You can be a bridge between engineers, designers, marketers and operations  and drive alignment across multiple teams
  • You’re excited by the challenges and opportunities of working at an early-stage startup, enjoy the thrill of overcoming obstacles, and can nimbly pivot your focus as needed
  • Experience as a founding member of a startup a bonus
  • Experience conducting a successful token launch a bonus
