About Big Head Club

Big Head is an NFT and gaming studio consisting of boundary-pushing creators, curious tinkerers, and trail-blazing Web3 pioneers.

Big Head was founded by Mack Flavelle. Mack was previously co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at Dapper Labs, home of CryptoKitties and NBA Top Shot.

We exist to create strange and marvelous NFTs that stand the test of time. Our small and growing team is composed of people who have worked on projects making hundreds of millions of dollars in value in web3, but far more importantly, have consistently pushed the envelope on what’s possible. Some of our projects that you may have heard of include Stoner Cats, Ghostbusters: 12 Days of Afterlife, Oni Ronin and StringBean.

The Role

We are looking for a software engineer to build beautiful web UIs and contribute to our Engineering team. Collaborating closely with our Design and Product teams, you’ll help us bring our visions to life.

Much of your time will be spent building front-end systems and you’ll also have opportunities to build and contribute to our back-end services as needed.

Desired Requirements

We know there are excellent applicants who may not hit all or even the majority of our Desired Requirements or Nice-To-Haves. We encourage them to apply with conviction.

• Three to five years experience building responsive web apps
• Strong understanding of Javascript
• Experience working with distributed teams regularly shipping code to production
• Use of frameworks such as React or Svelte
• Excellent written communication and comprehension ability
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and asynchronously as part of small effective teams across many time zones
• Demonstrated ability to create, update, and adapt processes in a fast-paced and fun environment

Nice-To-Haves

• Knowledge and understanding of NFTs and web3 culture
• Experience writing APIs and/or stateless/serverless functions
• Experience interfacing smart contracts with web apps
• Experience writing and deploying Solidity smart contracts
• Ability to optimize front-end UIs and web apps
